Leadership You Can Trust
Greg blew away my expectations. There was not a moment that I was ever uncomfortable with his leadership. You haven't walked the world until you've trekked the wilderness of the Wrangell-St. Elias Mountains.

Featured Trek: The Goat Trail

With a name like the Goat Trail you would expect some high country adventure - and this route does not disappoint! We do this trek a bit differently than the traditional route and stay in the high country for the entire way to Wolverine.

Pass through an amazing variety of terrain from green valleys to rocky perches thousands of feet above the Chitistone river below. The trip passes through some unique geology and it's not uncommon to find fossils along the way as well as tiny geodes. This is our top trip for wildlife. We routinely see bear, caribou, mountain goats and dall sheep too numerous to count.

A week-long point-to-point backpacking adventure that is sometimes challenging without being over the top.

Wolverine Mt. Alpine

This 6 day trip has so much to offer. It's a high country route perched far above the Chitistone river with simply amazing views all around. The icing on the cake is the abundance of fossils in the area and not just  a few if we're lucky, but a LOT of them.

There is a lot of flexibility with this route. We fly into Wolverine Mountain and spend a day checking out all the fossilts up the ridge before heading out to the Grotto Creek area. From there we can base camp and explore the region or continue on and do a circumnavigation of the mesa. Either way we end up back at Wolverine for the pickup. Your guide will work out the final itinerary with the group.

This route offers some challenges without being over the top. It's a real favorite with the guides.

LGBTQ+ Trek in Wrangell-St. Elias N.P.

Explore, learn, and connect in a wilderness environment. Join a group of LGBTQIA+ people to find adventure and build community.  Grow your outdoor skills in a queer-positive environment. Gain confidence as you take on new challenges, whether that means camping in the Alaskan backcountry for the first time or expanding your existing technical skillset.

This 5 day trip will explore the Iceberg Lake area which has so much to offer. Lots of dramatic terrain including hanging glaciers, peaks and ridges, a valley glacie to cross and more. This trip is usually done as a combination backpacking and day hiking trip. We generally head up valley and make a camp then explore the ridge to the north which offers some moderate scramble peaks if folks are up for that. Lots of options and possibilities in the Iceberg Lake valley.
